    Racquetball is a great way to get your heart rate up, stay fit, and get out and meet new people!

    The leagues are on Monday & Wednesday of each week from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm (depending on how many players sign up (sometimes there is a 4:30 start time). Some players only play Mondays, some only play Wednesdays, but a lot play both nights.

    The cost of each league is $110 plus $10 for snacks & prizes on each windup night (for a total of $120). This is a TGCA league, so all league participants must have a valid TGCA membership to participate.

    There are three divisions on Mondays (A1 – Advanced, A2 – intermediate & B1 – beginner to intermediate). Wednesday has the same three plus and additional one for elite players called A1 Plus.

    There are two leagues per year, one in January and one in Sept. Each league runs for 14 weeks, the last of which is a fun night which we call windup. There is a semi playoff between the top four players in a division, then players five to eight and so on.

    Unfortunately, people cannot drop in as all schedules are set. If anyone gets hurt of drops out, there will be replacement players sought.

    The leagues are open to both male & female players.

    All players typically have their own equipment, but you can also rent goggles and racquets at The 56. Inquire with the bartender.

    Hatha Yoga is a mindful, lightly flowing class that builds strength, flexibility and breath work. All levels welcome.

    Luann teaches an alignment-based flow - using breath to link the poses together. It is important to build strength and balance, as well as the flexibility that yoga is known for.

    Bring a yoga mat if you have one and wear something comfortable. Luann bring props to every class to support and help people get into the poses. Generally using blocks, blankets and straps, and sometimes brings bolsters and foam strips.

    Please note that this class will take place in the 5600 Room on Jan. 10, Feb. 7 & 21. The 5600 Room is on the south side of the arena, adjacent to the south viewing area. No Class on Family Day, Feb. 17.

    The TGCA Hatha Yoga –Winter class runs in three 10-week sessions, on Tuesdays and Fridays.

    Tuesday at 7 - 8 pm, from Jan. 7 - Mar. 10.

    Fridays at 10 - 11 am, from Jan. 10 - Mar. 13.

    $15 cash for drop-in. Memberships are $15 annually for residents of Thorncliffe Greenview, and $30 annually for residents of the greater Calgary area.

    Each session is $100 for members, and $150 for non-members.

    Come and challenge yourself in a gentle and effective way!

    This class will increase your strength, you'll learn stretches and create balance in both your body and mind, while combining a fusion of general exercise, Pilates and yoga.

    Monday sessions will take place from Jan. 13 – Mar. 23. No class Feb. 17th on Family Day. Monday classes are 9:30 am-10:30 am.

    Thursday session will take place from Jan. 16 – Mar. 19. Thursday classes are 10:30 am-11:30 am.

    One session for $100 plus tax, or both for $200 plus tax.

    Feel great and get a boost of confidence in 6 weeks!

    Cardio Fusion is a self-paced, easy to follow, all encompassing workout suitable for all ages and fitness levels.  

    This 60-minute class includes a combination of cardio, muscle conditioning, core work and stretch. A perfect class for fitness beginners all the way into advanced. This instructor can customize the workout for you. 

    Marie is an experienced group fitness instructor with a passion for leading fun, effective and safe fitness classes.

    She uses a variety of music and movements to motivate her participants, leads by example and encourages active living. Her certifications are current, and ongoing training allows her to keep on top of the latest fitness trends.

    Class registrants need only bring themselves, athletic footwear of some kind, and wear comfortable clothing. If you have a yoga mat, you may want to bring that as well. 

    Classes will take place on Thursdays from 5:45 - 6:45 pm, from Feb. 20 - Mar. 26. Class will be in the Thorncliffe room next to the office, in the main hall building. Ample parking and wheelchair accessible.

    Fees for members: $10 per class, $60 + GST. 

    Fees for non-members: $13 per class, $78 + GST

    Drop-in fee: $15. Please pay at the office next to the Thorncliffe room. We accept VISA, MasterCard, debit, TGCA gift cards, and cash.
